As a meditation on reincarnation and the enduring power of love, this is an amazing story, and an excellent companion piece to the best movie of last year, Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain।" Both are tremendously moving and beautiful. That Keith Richardson's "Secret of the Butterfly Lovers" also contains valuable life lessons on karma, forgiveness and abundance/attraction only componds the value of this unique work. While I read and dug Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret", its success as a marketing event has kind of surpassed its value as a literary work/movement. "Secret of the Butterfly Lovers", on the other hand, is the real deal...a deeply insightful, moving read that nobody is cramming down your throat. This is a real sleeper, waiting to be discovered...one that will greatly reward readers adventurous enough to seek it out.
